I almost feel badly posting this, because I don't really have anything exciting to say. But I'll fill you in on the dribble that is my day to day life for the past week.
It looks like JJ will be able to go to Jamaica. The Home convinced his DHS caseworkers that there is no flight risk, and we just have to get a letter signed my his mom saying it's okay to take him. They could have done it over the phone, except she never answers the phone when anyone calls her (JJ says she's probably out of minutes). Can you imagine not being able to talk to your kids because you're out of minutes?
They started on the kitchen addition...the subfloor is in, and the walls will be going up next. I'm having a hard time deciding what kind of lights I want over the island. It will be a lot bigger than the island I have now, which has two pendant lights hanging over it. I like the lights, but I would need more for a bigger island, and I'm afraid if I just add two more, it will look like it's raining over the island. So, I think I have to pick something else out.
I'm counting down the days until school's over. I believe there are 12 more full days, and 6 half days. Not that I don't love my job, but I enjoy the summer to get caught up around the house, sleep in and not have to deal with my grumpy kids in the morning.
I took a personal day today. I have book group Friday night, and I haven't even started the book, so I plan on doing a couple of things around the house, then spending the afternoon in the sun, reading. Yes, I'll wear sunscreen, Emma. Later we have a picnic to go to at the Children's Home for all the foster families.

So how was breakfast with the tea lady??
How positively decadent - sitting in the sun reading! I am sooooo jealous.
And I'm glad you blogged, dearest Schell. I always like to read you.

Blog entries about nothing in particular are usually the best, I have found.
Nice! We need to redo the kitchen in the Tahoe place and have been dragging our feet. Maybe this Summer . . .
